Create a User

Windows Server

  1. Open the passwords spreadsheet
    1. Add a new entry
    2. Make sure the password has a letter, number, symbol and is at least 8 characters
  2. Open Active Directory Users and Computers
  3. Open the Employees container
    1. Add the user
    2. Set the user's domain to @mrbkcpa.com
    3. User must change password at next logon
  4. Open the Task Scheduler
    1. Run Synchronize all Employees
  5. Run d:\multiOTP\multiOTP-sync.cmd
    1. Verify added to the OTP Manager

Email and Phone

  1. Login to icExchange
    1. Click Users → Create User
      1. Select Exchange
      2. Send password to current manager
    2. Click Services → Directory Link
      1. Click Select Object across from newly created user
      2. Select User and click Link
  2. Login to Freedom Voice
    1. Settings → Company → Users
    2. Settings → Phones → Configure
    3. Settings → Delivery → Call Forwarding
    4. Settings → Delivery → Message Notifications

In user's profile

The following items must be performed once.

  1. Login to Freedom Voice using their credentials and
    • Record their name by going to Settings → Company → Dial by Name
    • Record their outgoing message by going to Settings → Menus → Voice Mailboxes

The following items must be performed on the user's primary computer and on any remote desktop server the user will use. All computers at a location will share this configuration. For example, if this is done on a computer in the Monterey office, all computers in the Monterey office will automatically download the same configuration. However, if the user were to login to a computer in the Salinas office, they would have to configure these settings. With that said, Any other computer in the Salinas office would automatically download their configuration. Even though the remote desktop servers are at a location, they do not automatically download user configurations so they need to be configured once per user.

  1. Launch Outlook and configure email
  2. Update the C558 printers
    • Open settings and search for Printers & Scanners
    • Click on the Konica Minolta C558 and press Manage
    • A pulldown list will switch between the black/white and color C558
      • This will only appear if the user has access to the color C558
    • Click on Printer Preferences
    • Open the Basic tab and press the authentication/ account track button
      • For the BW printer, set the user authentication to Public User
      • For the Color printer, set the user authentication to Username=color and enter the password provided by Gerry
