How do I connect from a Mac?

You must first create the VPN connection

  1. Open System Preferences (from the Apple Menu)
  2. Click Network
  3. Click + in the lower left corner
    • Interface = VPN
    • VPN Type = L2TP
    • Service Name = MRBK
    • Click Create
  4. Configuration settings
    • Service Address = Monterey.mcgilloway-ray.com or Salinas.mcgilloway-ray.com (where your account is)
    • Account Name = {your email address}
    • Encryption = None
    • Enable “Show VPN status in menu bar”
  5. Click Authentication
    • Ask Jesus for the preshared key
  6. Click Advanced
    • Enable “Send all traffic over VPN”
  7. Click Apply
  8. Close System Preferences

Now, you can connect to the office computers

  1. Click the Network icon in the upper right corner (near the clock)
  2. Click on MRBK
  3. Enter your current OTP into the password field
  4. Install Remote Desktop
    • In the Connection Center, click +, and then click Desktop
    • PC Name = Server-Remote2016.Monterey.mcgilloway-ray.com or Server-Remote.Salinas.mcgilloway-ray.com as desired
    • User Account = {Your entire email address}
    • Friendly name = MRBK Monterey or MRBK Salinas
    • Click Save
  5. To disconnect, return to the Network icon in the upper right corner

Remember, you can also connect to your office workstation too.
