How do I connect directly to the network?

This method can be useful when using a laptop that is used both inside and outside the office.

You must first connect to the VPN before using any of these!

Connect to the G Drive

• Open the G Drive as normal

Print to an office printer

• Print as though you are physically at the office

Applications

• You may even launch applications that require the file server (like File Cabinet)
• Will be much slower than you are used to

If you are using a computer that you do NOT login using your work account. For example, this could be a “dumb terminal” laptop or your home computer.

You must first connect to the VPN!

Connect to the G Drive

1. Open File Explorer (yellow folder icon at bottom of screen)
2. Type \\Server-File into the box at the top and press Enter
3. Login using your full email address as your username and your “regular” password
4. Double-Click on the Public folder
