====== How do I connect directly to the network? ======

This method can be useful when using a laptop that is used both inside and outside the office. 

You must first connect to the VPN before using any of these!
  
**Connect to the G Drive**
  * Open the G Drive as normal
**Print to an office printer**
  * Print as though you are physically at the office
**Applications**
  * You may even launch applications that require the file server (like File Cabinet)
  * Will be much slower than you are used to

If you are using a computer that you do NOT login using your work account. For example, this could be a "dumb terminal" laptop or your home computer. 

You must first connect to the VPN!

**Connect to the G Drive**

  - Open File Explorer (yellow folder icon at bottom of screen)
  - Type \\Server-File into the box at the top and press Enter
  - Login using your full email address as your username and your "regular" password
  - Double-Click on the Public folder
