How do I connect to the VPN?

Prerequisites

Before you can connect to the office, you must have an OTP code on your phone and you must have installed the icRouter VPN Client on your PC.

  1. Get an OTP on your mobile device
  2. Install the icRouter VPN Client

Connect to the office

To perform these steps, you must not be in the office nor connected to the office (via VPN or Always-On router)

If you are using your mobile phone as a hot spot, newer phones will connect to the office Wi-Fi to save your data plan and you will still be connected as though you are inside the office. To prevent this, turn off the Wi-Fi on your phone prior to turning on its mobile hot spot feature.

  1. Open the icRouter VPN Client from your Start Menu (or Launchpad on Mac)
  2. Press “Connect”
    • If you don’t see a “Connect” button, press the menu icon in the upper-right corner
  3. You will be asked for your username, password, and OTP code in three separate entry boxes
    • You may use your email address or just your username (the part to the left of @ in your email address)
    • Use your current computer password
    • Each box will be replaced with the next one when you hit enter or press OK
  4. Once connected, you may close or minimize the icRouter VPN Client while you work
  5. To disconnect from the VPN, open to the icRouter VPN Client and press disconnect
